Continuing Education

Like so many professional trainings, the sexological bodywork and somatic sex educator trainings alone are unable to provide us with all the preparation we need to be with our clients in the terrain of eros, intimacy, trauma and belonging. As a result, no doubt, as you have stepped into your own unique work with your clients, it’s likely you’ve found yourself saying, “What do I do here?!” and “What do I do now!?”

While it is true that formal training alone cannot prepare us for this work, there are some foundational frameworks and tools that endow us with deeper collective wisdom as well as support a greater relationship with our own intuitive knowing. All of which allow us to engage more practically with the mysterious ever-shifting landscape that is our human healing and wholing.

Additionally, as practitioners who have chosen to accompany our clients in their most tender and vulnerable journeys of erotically embodied healing, we are not only better, but more ethical practitioners if we continue to learn and grow side-by-side with one another in transparent, humble and curious community. The practice of human healing (and the theories and research that drive it) is ever-changing. In order to consider ourselves ethically sound practitioners, we must continue to learn, grow, challenge and be challenged.

Embodied Ethics

A 12-week Online Experiential and Seminar-Based Professional Training
January 11th — March 29th, 2022 — Now Enrolling

As practitioners, we are taught that there is a right way and a wrong way to behave with our clients, students, employees, parishioners (and others). There is good behavior and there is bad behavior. In fact, we are taught there are good people and there are bad people. In this model we’re expected to behave, which requires that we simply follow a set of clearly specified rules created by someone else.

This model supports a power over, top-down, outside-in model of relationship navigation. It supports the atrophy of our muscles of embedded, erotically intelligent and contextual discernment, while over-developing our willingness and propensity to follow the rules without questioning.

And it sets us up to cause harm, rather than prevent it.

This course is designed for practitioners who feel the urgent call to cultivate an intimate relationship with their Ethical Self and to stand as pioneering practitioners working to lay the foundation for a different system of accountability.
